Dr. Ronald E. Smith, was the President of The Francis Asbury Society, Wilmore, Kentucky, earned his BA degree in Biblical Studies at Asbury College (1977), graduated with an MDiv degree from Asbury Theological Seminary in 1982, finished the ThM degree from Princeton Theological Seminary in The History of Christian Doctrine in 1990, and received the Masters of Philosophy degree and Doctor of Philosophy degree from the Casperson School of Graduate Studies, Drew University in 2005.
Ron is an ordained deacon and elder in the Greater New Jersey Conference of the United Methodist Church, and has served under appointment of the Bishop since 1982. Ron has served the local church as youth pastor, associate pastor, senior pastor and church planter. He served the Francis Asbury Society from 1993-1998 as a Fellow and for two years as Executive Director. In 1998 he was elected as the fifth president of Wesley Biblical Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi where he served for thirteen years. Paul has been on the staff at Trinity since 2005. He graduated from seminary in 1990 and has served churches in New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey before coming to Trinity. He is married to a sweetheart named Brenda and they have two daughters. Paul has an unique sense of humor and a great heart for people and God. Scott is married to Meg and Dad to four boys; Tim, Ben, Josiah, and Eli. He grew up in Harrison Twp., graduated from Asbury College with a B. A. in Media Communication (‘06), and earned an M.Div. from Wesley Biblical Seminary (‘09). Prior to joining the staff at Trinity, Scott and Meg served as missionaries to Uganda with World Gospel Mission. He loves to see people engage their faith and be empowered to respond to God’s work in their lives. Mike serves full-time as our youth director and is responsible for leading our three youth ministry programs. He also manages all media and communication for the youth program. Mike graduated from Asbury College with a bachelor’s degree in English, and he graduated from Georgetown College with a master’s degree in Education. He is currently a student at Moore College of Art & Design where he is seeking a certificate in digital media for print and web design. In his free time, Mike enjoys taking photographs, hiking, watching classic movies, collecting vinyl records, and exploring with his kids. Carol Berry first came to Trinity in January of 1996 as a part-time secretary. However, it soon became obvious that she was a tremendous asset to our rapidly growing congregation and her position was changed to our full-time Administrative Assistant. It is Carol’s voice that often answers your phone calls, responds to your e-mails, and helps keep Trinity’s day to day operations and busy schedule running smoothly. Irene Gerbrick is a member of Trinity UMC and is the assistant to the Administrative Assistant, Carol Berry. Irene retired from Sony Music after working at the Pitman location in the Customer Service Dept. for 30 years. Irene has 3 children (whom she loves dearly) and 5 grandchildren who are truly amazing and special. Attending Trinity and working in the office puts her in contact with people who she is proud to say are like family. She thanks God every day for all he has given her.
Rita has been attending Trinity since 2006. She is originally from Ohio and taught Physical Education and Health for seven years before moving to New Jersey. Tamah Freni received her Bachelors of Music degree in music education from Westminster Choir College in 1994, where she studied conducting under Constantina Tsolainou and James Jordan, and sang under the batons of Joseph Flummerfelt, Riccardo Muti and Robert Shaw. Since then, she has been teaching music in Camden County schools. Tamah resides in Gloucester Township with her husband Jason, three children, and their two rescue dogs.
