For Tanzania
The “For Tanzania: A Living Wage for Every Pastor” campaign aims to raise funds to ensure every United Methodist pastor in Tanzania can dedicate themselves entirely to ministry without financial uncertainty for a whole year. This is a second mile campaign that is asking each local congregation if you would help support a pastor’s salary (full year; half-year or for a month).  The average Tanzanian pastor earns $63 annually, and many don’t get paid at all by their churches. In addition, right now in Tanzania, economic difficulties and denominational challenges, make this a critical time of needed support. This second mile campaign seeks to provide a living wage of $1,200 annually for each United Methodist pastor of Tanzania. Find out more here.
